Nurse Residency Program - AdventHealth Durand
AdventHealth Durand has provided faith-based, whole-person care to Durand and the surrounding community for decades. We believe healing includes the mind, body and spirit, and we focus plans of care for our patients around this belief. Our mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ to all we serve. We offer in-patient, outpatient, surgical, laboratory, radiology and rehab services, plus an array of specialty services that include cardiology, orthopedics, podiatry, urology, general surgery, gastroenterology, and plastic facial services. With two adjacent clinics, we offer family and internal medicine services for patients of all ages.
The Nurse Residency program at AdventHealth Durand will grow your skills to multiple specialties. Our program is ideal for students looking to broaden their nursing skills and work in a variety of specialties. We cross train between various units such as PACU, ER, outpatient infusion surgery, just to name a few.

Full-time nursing position
The program includes blended didactic and precepted clinicals.

Program Summary:
The registered nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within a patient care unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities.
Uses the nursing skills of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in their patient care delivery
New graduate RN full-time positions may be offered on the following units (availability fluctuates for each start date based on campus needs):
Medical/Surgical Specialty
PACU
Infusion Therapy
Emergency Department
Qualifications:
What will you need?
Must be a graduate of a nursing school program by CCNE or ACEN only
Must have a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher
Must have graduated within the past year
Current Wisconsin RN license (may apply without license, but must have license prior to licensure deadline)
Portfolio submission required prior to application deadline.

Professional resume
Two (2) clinical references on letterhead from direct supervisors (if working in a clinical setting), professors, or preceptors
Upload BLS
A copy of the completed, unofficial transcript(s). Transcripts must show the name, the degree obtained (or currently pursuing), and the cumulative GPA
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider with AED is mandatory for consideration

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
